10 Years

Today is our 10 year marriage anniversary! It is just impossible to think that we have reached such a milestone. Not because it's been a long decade, but because I am a bit in shock that we are old enough to stake such a claim.

Our story is a bit unique for we were high school sweethearts! I was 15 when I first met Chad in our high school hallway, however, we didn't start dating until I was almost 17. I was a sophmore in high school and he was a freshman in college. After that we were pretty much inseparable. And, I still see us as a couple kids riding side by side in his 1967 plymouth fury. He'd drive to wherever I was almost every weekend and we'd talk for at least an hour every night on the phone. I am so Blessed to say that I married my Best Friend and that he is still my Best Friend today.

I look at the past decade and our little piece of history.....graduating, getting married, starting careers, traveling, job changes, losing my mom, buying a home, having a child, then having another, and now renovating...and it only makes me look forward to what the next decade will bring with my Best Friend by my side.
