First Grade Career Day

Ian's class recently had a career day. This was such a neat experience for all the kids. Everyone did a wonderful job of creatively presenting their chosen careers.

We had veterinarians, pediatricians, explorers, a paleontologist, artists, musicians, dancers, a movie director, an electrician, a majorette, a football player, and Ian chose to be a zoo keeper.

"Hi, my name is Ian and I am a zoo keeper. My snakes name is Corny. I chose to be a zoo keeper, because I like animals, and my parents worked at the zoo. I spend my day feeding the animals, cleaning exhibits, and enriching their lives. I help the community by teaching the visitors about the animals."

He showed a few of the tools he depends on daily: walkie talkie, keys and an animal carrier. He ended by introducing all of the animals that he brought with him.

Well done first grade!
