Recently Ian was instructed to go and clean up his room. This usually means that his leg* collection has completely taken over his floor making it impossible for you to cross without suffering intense pain. Especially, when you race in during the middle of the night after being summoned, or at least I've heard, for I usually sleep through the kids nightly pleas knowing that Daddy will take care of it. ;) In my defense, I am a very sound sleeper, and have you ever seen a preggo woman try to maneuver a set of stairs half asleep? It's a very hazardous site!
I was completely shocked when I went to check up on him for the first time and found this! A completely clean room, with no piles in the corners or junk on the play table. All his leg*s and bi*nicles out of site in the drawers. All the dirty clothes taken to the basement. All the miscellaneous stuff he never knows what to do with taken care of. I was speechless!
He even took the time to "neatly" pile his plush toys in the corner...

and to fill the toy box! Yes, it's a bit full and I do see a few items that do not actually belong there, however, I was not about to complain.

Ian's dresser always cracks me up. First of all, he loves to hang things on the knobs, which is a trait he has inherited from his father who also thinks that all knobs are for hanging things on. (Huge pet peeve of mine when you cannot find the knob to open a door or drawer because it is covered with something...especially when the item on the knob belongs inside what you are trying to open!) Secondly, it's the only place where Ava cannot reach the top, so it's usually completely covered with stuff and is where you'll find Ian's chosen item of the week.
Way to go Ian!!! I am so proud of how responsible you are becoming!
Great job Ian!!
