Great Gma and Gpa Welch

The kiddos and I traveled to Table R*ock Lake last week to see my Grandma & Grandpa Welch (my mom's parents). They live in Florida now and try and come up once a year to visit. To be honest, I'm getting tired of doing all this traveling on my own. There is nothing relaxing about vacationing as a single parent!

G&G rented a cabin on the lake, and my T*om T*om (aka dumb dumb) actually found it!

Grandpa and Ian did a lot of fishing.

Grandpa kept boasting about how Ian caught more fish than he did! Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Gpa had to do all the work! Ian simply reeled the fish in and observed!

Even Ava loved fishing, however, she refused to kiss the fish like Gpa!

Ian's N*emo fishing pole broke, so Gpa bought him his first real fishing rod! It came with a tackle box and of course that was his favorite thing.

The most eventful occurance was Ava breaking out with hand, foot and mouth and me having absolutely no cell phone signal. A huge shout out of thanks to the nurse at Children's hospital who was kind and patient enough to have the "can you hear me now" dialogue for over fifteen minutes.

We played games on the rainy day.
